Informa Exhibitions' SHD Awards - enter now
The entry process for the inaugural SHD Logistics Awards 2014 is now open. The SHD Logistics Awards will be a prestigious event which recognises and rewards the very best companies within the intralogistics, logistics and supply chain sectors.
Entries are being encouraged from across the logistics industry, with a wide range of categories aimed at capturing the best examples of excellence.
Organised by Informa Exhibitions - the publisher of SHD Magazine and www.SHDLogistics.com - this exciting new venture will culminate with a glamorous black tie dinner at Park Lane Hotel on Thursday 20th March 2014, with an expected audience of over 350 guests.
Entry is via a simple online form, and is open to both individuals and organisations. The closing date for all entries is 6th December 2013. However, early entrants will be rewarded by having their submission vetted by Chair of the Judges Peter MacLeod, SHD's editor.
Peter will analyse the strengths and weaknesses of every entry received before midnight on 31st October 2013 and feed his advice back to the entrant. They will then be able to resubmit their entry having taken on board Peter's comments.
Rob Fisher, director of Informa Exhibitions’ Materials Handling Group, said: “The momentum for our inaugural Awards is gathering - we have received some excellent encouragement in the shape of sponsorship from the likes of Potter Logistics and Toyota Material Handling UK, and behind the scenes we have lined up an outstanding jury of industry experts to help pick the winners. I encourage anyone who has pride in what they have achieved professionally to put their head above the parapet and take part in this exciting and prestigious new initiative.”
The Awards categories have been formulated to reflect the diversity of sectors within the industry, as follows:
•Environment/Sustainability
•Innovation
•Safety Implementation
•Corporate Responsibility
•New/Start-Up Facility
•CapEx
•Multimodal - sponsored by Potter Logistics Ltd
•Warehouse Efficiency
•Operations (SME)
•Operations (Large) - sponsored by Toyota Material Handling UK
In addition, Peter MacLeod will pick a submission which has caught his eye but not won a Category Award for his Editor’s Award. One of the Category Award winners will be chosen by the jury as the Overall Winner.
