Informa Recognised in Raft of Leading ESG Ratings and Rankings
Informa has kicked off 2024 with a raft of recognition across leading ESG ratings and rankings. The company has been awarded AAA, the highest possible level, in the MSCI ESG Ratings and is in the top 1% of companies in its sector.
Additionally, Informa was named part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World and Europe indices for the sixth year running.
Informa has also been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, which collates the top performing companies globally according to the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). To be listed in the Yearbook, companies must achieve a CSA score in the top 15% of those in their industry and Informa is in the top 1% in its sector according to the CSA.
MSCI ESG Ratings are awarded according to exposure to industry-specific economic, social and governance risks and the ability to manage those risks relative to peers, on a scale of AAA (leader) to CCC (laggard). Informa previously held an AA MSCI ESG Rating. The DJSI rank leading companies based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
Stephen Carter, Group Chief Executive, Informa PLC said: “At Informa, sustainability is not only about being a responsible business and contributor to communities; it is also about the opportunity to better serve our customers and expand the positive impact we have on our markets too.
“To be recognised as a leader in these prestigious ESG ratings is a fantastic achievement and the result of over a decade of consistent investment in sustainability across our business, which continues in 2024 through our FasterForward programme.”
Informa’s FasterForward programme was created in 2020 and is a five-year plan to accelerate progress and performance on sustainability. Its scope includes reducing the environmental impact of business operations, embedding sustainability within our brand and product content, and increasing broader community impact.
